Jenny Penk’s early career was as an Executive Officer with the Department Of Employment before coming a co-owner of Penk Insurance in 1989. David Penk started work as a 16 year old YTS insurance apprentice with a local insurance broker. Over the next 10 years he learned his trade and became assistant manager and then managing director. In 1989 an opportunity arose for Jenny & David to set up their own insurance brokerage. An office was acquired at 81 Chatsworth Road and later, in 2001, due to continued growth, the business was relocated to 49-53 Chatsworth Road where they continue to operate today.
From those early days Jenny & David have supported a work environment that is both stimulating and challenging, that offers the maximum opportunity for personal and professional growth and encourages the development of innovative ideas. Over the years the success of the company has been achieved by providing quality personal & business insurance products and by putting customer care at the top of their agenda. This will continue to be their strategy for the future.
They have also established themselves as a market leader in providing motor insurance cover to the Taxi trade, particularly in the Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire areas but their footprint extends all over the country including Wales & Scotland.
They are also a major player in arranging business and commercial insurance solutions for small to medium sized companies using a wide panel of well respected insurers. From arranging a simple public liability policy for a bricklayer to covering a complex manufacturing company they have the expertise to get it covered.
They have always been a big believer in supporting the local community and try, wherever possible, to employ people who live locally.
2015/16 saw the company re-brand with a new company logo, website & marketing campaign.
Penk Insurance also became a “Chesterfield Champion” in 2015.
Looking to the future, Penk Insurance will continue to deliver new products and services to meet the demands and needs of the ever changing modern world by using the latest technology and marketing practices.
Furthermore, new insurance schemes and facilities will continue to be sought to keep ahead of the competition.
